    Kylin  |  麒麟

    Kylin is a deer-like creature that has the ability to distinguish between good and bad people. When it finds a person with a pure heart, the Kylin would bow to them. So when a Kylin appears, people in ancient China believed that there were sages (圣人)  nearby.

    傳說中，麒麟是正義的動物，它能辨善惡，只對心靈純潔的人鞠躬。因此，古人相信，凡麒麟現(xiàn)身，附近必有圣人。

    Pixiu  |  貔貅
    Pixiu is a lion-shaped beast with white and gray fur from Chinese mythology. It is believed to be the ninth son of the Dragon King and to eat only gold and silver. People like bring miniature (小模型)pixiu to bring them wealth and avoid evil. 
    都說龍生九子，各有不同。中國神話中，貔貅就是龍之九子，喜食金銀。人們喜歡佩戴貔貅配飾，以期鎮(zhèn)宅辟邪、招財進寶。
